Xiaomi set to sell phones in France and Italy starting this month
Xiaomi is finally coming to Europe according to some of the latest reports. Xiaomi is one of the largest manufacturers in the world, and they want to expand on some new markets, according to Senior VP Wang Xiang. They are coming to France on May 22nd and Italy on May 24th.
Xiaomi doesn’t have a solid presence in Europe yet, with mostly Asian markets covered, so it does make sense for them to approach this in a meaningful and structured manner. Having their own stores in these countries will help a lot. Until this point, the phones were available only at Media World or Carrefour.
Most European customers are happy with the idea of getting their phone right from the carrier. So we can expect the Mi and RedMi phones to arrive at carriers like TIM, Orange, Vodafone or SFFR. This may only signal the beginning of a major market overhaul, because Xiaomi may very well arrive to most other countries in Europe in the nearest future.
