Xiaomi Mi Band 3, Mi 8, MIUI 10 Confirmed to be Launched at the Anniversary Event
Xiaomi confirms to launch a new fitness bracelet labeled Mi Band 3. The announcement would be made during the company’s eights anniversary event. The Chinese manufacturer also plans to announce MIUI 10 and the new company’s flagship Mi 8 smartphone, along with the average-priced Mi Note 5. Following the tradition established by its compatriots, Xiaomi has skipped the Mi Note 4, as the number 4 is believed to be unlucky in China.
The Mi Band 2 was initially launched in 2016. However, later the company came out with the Mi Band HRX Edition in India, partnering with HRX on this project. Recently, Xiaomi has restarted the Mi Band 2 sales adding a discount. The new Mi Band 3 is likely to have a 2.5D curved display and no physical buttons at all.
On Chinese social media Weibo, the company has published a teaser to confirm the expected launch of the Mi Band 3. Lei Jun, Xiaomi CEO, and Wang Xiang, Senior Vice President of the company, have also shared the information about the Mi Band 3 launch. In a post on Twitter, Wang Xiang posted the teaser from Weibo saying that the Mi 8 and MIUI 10 are also coming on May 31.
There is a chance that some other devices will be announced during the event. We’ll keep you posted.
