Will the new 15” MacBook really sport M2, M2 Pro CPU options?
Apple will reveal its next 15” MacBook model in Q2 2023 at the earliest, say market experts. The notebook is expected to have 2 CPU options — a M2 chipset with a 35W adapter and a M2 Pro chipset with a 67W adapter. It is likely to go into mass production sometime in early 2023 and is likely to be unveiled in Q2 2023. The new model may not be from the MacBook Air family and have a different moniker.
This is not the first mention of the new proprietary chips on Apple’s 2023 laptops. As per Bloomberg, the MacBook Air range may also be released with the M2 options. Also, next spring may see the historic release of the first 15” MacBook Air ever. Another innovation is a 12” notebook that may be unveiled in late 2023 – early 2024, but these are unconfirmed rumors as of now.
