The M3 and A17 chips in 2023 iPhones and Macs will allegedly use TSMC’s second-generation 3nm processors. These improved N3E processors are said to offer enhanced performance and energy efficiency compared to their predecessors.
While not mentioned explicitly, iPads may also be equipped with the new chipset. For now, reports claim that the iPad Pro model under development that utilizes TSMC’s 5nm processor will enter mass production in Q4 2022.
The A17 chips may only be used on the 2023 iPhone Pro models, the same way they were used in the iPhone 14 series that was launched last week. The M3 chips will probably be featured on Apple’s new 14” and 16” MacBook Pros.
