Second Generation-AirTags May Be Launched Soon, Experts Expect Shipments to Increase
Great improvement has been observed in Apple’s AirTag shipments. In 2021 the number of units reached about 20 million, but the estimate for 2022 is 35 million units. This recent optimistic trend may lead to the launch of second-generation AirTags in the near future.
The gadget was created to keep track of personal items via a wireless connection, and has been gaining popularity since its initial launch. Their tiny size makes them extremely convenient, and AirTags can work through an iPhone to find lost items. It’s unclear whether the customers should expect any improvements or innovations, since the device is already well-designed and extremely convenient to use.
There were attempts to use AirTags for spying on people, but Apple developed countermeasures, and it is now more difficult to do. Sales aren’t surging just yet, but are expected to rise significantly soon, say industry experts.
