Both companies’ data show that Samsung is the 2017 market leader, with about 20% market share, while Apple holds the second place, falling behind by approximately five percent. Huawei and Oppo follow them, keeping the Top 4 power balance unchanged from 2016.
While the data from two sources doesn’t fully match, both companies report on 1.5 billion smartphones sold during the past year. The absence of any significant growth suggests an oversupply situation in the global market.
