No surprise here: iPhone 13 and 13 Pro Max Are the Most Sold Smartphones in Q1 2022
Three out of the top-five best-selling phones in Q1 2022 are manufactured by Apple. iPhone 13 and its spruced-up relative iPhone 13 Pro Max (6.7” display) are in the top two places, with another Apple model, iPhone 13 Pro (6.1” display), coming in fourth.
Apple and Samsung are always the leaders in these lists, so we are not goggling our eyes with surprise. While there are no statistics on the actual number of units sold, there is a mention of the total iPhone 13 sales figure, which amounts to approximately $42 billion. Presumably, the iPhone 13 range took up 84% of total iPhone sales in Q1 2022. Apple had the most lucrative holiday season to date, and the numbers seem to show that the momentum is still there. Even the widespread supply shortages had not managed to keep the numbers down, with a record $71.63 billion worth of iPhones sold in Q4 2021.
Samsung secured the third and fifth place with its budget-friendly Galaxy A12 and Galaxy A32. The South has made about $3.6 billion in Q1 2022 on the two models listed in the top-five list.
