Mi Watch Lite launched with over 120 watch faces and built-in GPS
For several weeks, there have been a few speculations as well as other leaks surrounding the launch of the Mi Watch lite. Now, the smartwatch has finally been made official by Xiaomi. Many would recall the Redmi watch that was launched in November in China. The new Mi Watch lite at first glance looks to be a rebranded version of the wearable launched in November.
Xiaomi listed the Mi Watch Lite on their global website, although pricing and availability have not been made clear. The wearable is however expected to be priced at the approximate equivalent of CNY 299.
The Mi Watch Lite offers ivory, olive, navy blue, pink, and blackstrap variants. The features and specifications listed on the site are also quite impressive. The only thing left is the price and availability which will likely make the wearable available globally at a reasonable price.
Features and availability of the Mi Watch Lite
The Mi Watch Lite has a 1.4 square LCD display, packed with 320x320 pixels. It has a pixel density of 323ppi as well as adaptive brightness with a minimum state of 350 nits. The wearable is powered by a 230mAh battery. It takes about two hours to fully charge the battery completely, in order to get up to nine days of usage with typical usage. Complete GPS spots mode will however deplete the battery in about 10 hours.
The Mi Watch Lite features up to 11 different sports mode which includes cricket, trekking, trial run, walking, indoor running, open water swimming, treadmill, outdoor running, indoor cycling, outdoor cycling, swimming in the pool and free activities.
The Mi Watch lite has 5ATM water resistance, so it can work in up to 50 meters of water. With heart rate monitoring, guided breathing exercises, and sleep monitoring. It also supports chat and calls notifications as well as music controls, weather, and flashlight functionality. It even features an idle alert specifically for users that have a sedentary work life.
