DJI set to release the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0
DJI is known to create some very good drones, and their Phantom unit is one of the best. They recently announced Phantom 4 Pro V2.0, which immediately impressed people. But what you need to note is that this model is more of an update than anything.
The new version has the same 1-inch, 20 MP sensor that can shoot 4K videos at 60 FPS and 100 MBPS. The Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 also supports H.265/60 FPS videos as well as burst mode stills (14 FPS). But there’s also some new stuff like the OcuSync HD transmission system, as well as an automatic dual-frequency band switching. You can also use the DJI Goggles RE via wireless connectivity if you want to.
Another change comes in the form of an upgraded propulsion system. There’s a FOC sinusoidal driver and a 9455S quick release. According to the manufacturer, this is slated to reduce noise, and should offer more aerodynamic properties to the drone in the first place. The aircraft noise reduction is quite significant, up to 4DB which is more than impressive for this kind of unit. However, the flight time and speed remain the same when compared to the previous unit.
Not only that, but you use the same obstacles as the original, but now the obstacle sensing range is better with 30 feet in front. The back stays pretty much the same.
There’s also a new controller to be found here, which has the OcuSync transmission system. You can connect it with the DJI Goggles wirelessly. This will bring you the FPV flight experience you want, and you can reach up to 72 KMPH with this unit.
You can use two types of remote controllers, the standard one, and the built-in one. In addition, you can switch between the frequency bands. The range is amazing, around 7 KM, although that means free of interference and any obstructions.
Also, you have the controller that has a dedicated 5.5” display, a well as 1000 cd/m2 brightness and its own app. The remote controller is also set to have a loudspeaker, microphone, SD slot and Wi-Fi connectivity. The remote controller is not compatible with the Phantom Pro because it uses a great transmission system.
They also made sure that the Return Home function was improved now. Everything is a lot better in real time, and the drone will choose its best path to reach home as fast as possible. It will retrace the original path, but if not it will revert to a straight line to return home!
