Chinese phone brands victorious at MWC 2019. Here are some amazing news

MWC 2019 is finally over and now we are able to see who are the true winners at this point. It seems that despite bringing in a ton of marketing, huge companies didn’t really stick the landing. Nubia, ZTE, Oppo, Xiaomi and Huawei, all Chinese companies, got to have a very strong presence at MWC 2019.
Huawei’s Mate X was the star, true, but Oppo’s unique camera system, Xiaomi M9 and the Nubia wristphone all grabbed a lot of attention. Some YouTubers like Marques Brownlee named the OnePlus 6T to be the smartphone of the year when it comes to value, and you can rarely argue when you see how good the phone actually is to begin with.
Huawei also overtook Apple when it comes to how many handsets they sold in 2018, and Samsung as well as Apple suffer from less sales especially in SE Asia and China. In China Samsung has a market share of less than 1%, which is extremely tiny. We already knew the data from last year, but seeing how MWC 2019 fared is nothing short of unique to say the least. Of course, the fact that journalists could actually use the Huawei device did help a lot, as Samsung kept its foldable behind glass.
ZTE and Nubia
ZTE came with their own Axon 10 Pro 5G. This one is a bland device of sorts, and they have a waterdrop notch created by Vivo and Oppo. The camera module is identical almost to the P20 Pro from Huawei. It’s 5G ready though, so that’s interesting. They were almost put out of business, so it helps a lot that Nubia fares a bit better.
Speaking of Nubia, it seems that they are coming in strong. They showed a unique phone that you can use as a bracelet. The flexible screen has 4 inches and you can wrap it around the wrist, the unit also has a camera with 5 MP too. Nubia Alpha doesn’t seem ready for customers just yet because it’s clunky.
Oppo, Vivo and OnePlus
Oppo did a good job at MWC 2019 because they brought in a 10X lossless camera system. This didn’t arrive with a smartphone announcement, but they said that it will be integrated into a phone of theirs at some point in the future. This is a great deal, as it allows you to acquire lots of detail without worrying about any potential problems that photographers have to deal with. Such zooming features are very helpful and they do bring in front some rewarding results and benefits. It’s worth the effort, so you should totally check it. Of course, the fact that this is not beating a DSLR unit is to be expected, but considering it’s a smartphone system it’s more than impressive. After all, you get a lot more portability here, so something had to give to begin with. Apparently, they are using a combination of software and hardware to pull this off. But it still works quite nicely and that’s exactly what you need to keep in mind!
OnePlus and Vivo didn’t really have a lot to share and offer. Vivo pulled away from the show at the last minute and OnePlus just showed a prototype 5G handset. It’s still nice to see that they had a presence at the show, but it definitely wasn’t exactly as expected.
Xiaomi
Xiaomi continues to expand and it actually does an amazing job with that. It managed to remove Samsung almost completely from the market because they have specs to match and lower prices. They shared their MI 9 flagship that comes with an OLED Display as well as the Snapdragon 855 chipset, 8 GB of RAM as well as a fingerprint scanner inside the display.
Since Samsung has the same secs at double the price of ~$500, it’s easy to see why Xiaomi continues to grow. They got to find the sweet spot when it comes to delivering amazing quality and value for the money! They are also coming with a 5G ready version for the Mi Mix 3. So they are definitely hard at work with this and they might be sharing more details about that soon. This one is a notch less slider phone. You have the new 855 processor and 5G modem, but spec-wise you receive the same thing when compared to the previous hardware offer.
Huawei
For a lot of people Huawei is the star because they introduced an amazing foldable that people could actually touch and use. The Mate X was only one of the things they shared, because they are updating their laptop line. The MateBook X Pro from this year continues to have almost the same bezel-less screen design. But you do get Whiskey Lake processor updates as well as a new graphics card from Nvidia, which is great.
And despite that, they also shared some software improvements too. They have a new one tap file transferring system. It’s called OneHop and it allows you to transfer files from your phone to your laptop with almost no waiting time at all. It still works great, and the fact that you have the highest screen to body ratio makes the MateBook X Pro quite an interesting purchase.
The company shared a new 5G router and modem named the 5G CPE Pro that has the 5G chipset from the company. You will be able to hit a download speed of 4.6 Gbps, so you could download a 1GB file in 3 seconds. And despite all of that, everyone was fully amazed with the Mate X, just because it’s something so interesting and innovative!
