Chicago exhibition dazzles with futuristic wearables out of this world
There are lots of future wearables out there that will impress you a lot. A relevant exhibition Chicago demonstrated some devices that will indeed blow your mind. Here you can find a list with some of our favorites that you will enjoy and appreciate quite a bit.
The Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago exhibit named “Wired to Wear” really manages to make things more interesting because it shows that wearables are the future and they can indeed bring in front some really impressive features and ideas. Here you could find around 100 innovations from 15 countries, a testament to the value and exciting quality that you can obtain in such a situation.
A thing to keep in mind is that some of the items are almost ready for the public, others are just an example of what the technology can bring to the table and so on. But it’s clear that the possibilities are limitless. For example, there’s a tattoo that you can play just like a keyboard, that’s nothing short of extraordinary to say the least. You can visit this exhibit until May next year. Since we were speaking about some cool innovations, here are some of the nest.
Tattoos that make your skin function like a touch screen
Microsoft’s Paul Johns and Asta Roseway have created a temporary smart tattoo that you can use as a touchscreen. It really helps a lot, it makes it easy for you to control mobile devices, not to mention you can store info on your skin. It brings in more style and value, all while offering some exciting features to say the least. If you want a unique wearable, then this is definitely something for you to enjoy.
Very smart clothes
You don’t really know what you can find around the corner nowadays. And smart jackets are definitely one of those technologies that most of us won’t see coming at all. Levi has worked closely with Google to update their denim jackets with some touchscreen functionality. You can easily tap on the jacket to turn off the lights, you can even receive notifications from apps as well.
There are some micro thing jacquard threads that are sewn into the fabric. This will make it easy for the jacket to transform into a mobile device with the use of Bluetooth. The tech will advance too, which means the results will be nothing short of extraordinary and that’s exactly what you need to focus on and think about with a feature like this. The first version of this jacket is already out, it’s $350 and you can buy it now.
The dress that watches you and everyone around
Behnaz Farahi was requested by the Museum of Science and Industry to create the Iridescence dress. This dress has vision activated tech, so it’s very advanced and powerful despite not seemingly feeling like that in the first place.
The dress collar has a small camera as well as 200 quills and it will react to the viewer expressions or their emotions. The dress can showcase anxiety with some movements that are a bit jittery. And as you move around you will notice that the quills will shift so they can follow the viewer. So this does indeed take mood rings to the next level.
Seismic Powered Clothing
The Seismic Powered Clothing is a very light undergarment and the idea with it is that it uses robotics and apparel combinations in order to give you that strength boost when you either stand or sit. You will have something similar to a pulley system in this and the idea is that you will be able to lift more and just boost your strength normally without major concern.
Digital backpack
Portable game consoles might not be the future if the Pix Backpack becomes the norm. This is an LED illuminated backpack and you can use your phone to customize it the way you want to. You can easily showcase designs on it or you can display time, access mobile notifications and weather info, which is really cool.
Right now they are also developing apps for this which include things like biking designs, connectivity features and a whole lot of other cool stuff. The Pix Backpack was created by a team of young inventors in the UK and you can buy it now.
There’s no shortage of exciting ideas and features for you to check out and explore. It’s definitely a good idea to visit this great exhibit, as there’s a lot of cool stuff to be found!
