Apple Watch Series 7 Expected to Include Bigger Battery With Smaller S7 Processor
Most experts expect Apple Watch Series 7 to launch at the same time as the new iPhones - in September. The wearable is supposed to be equipped with a larger battery than previous models, since the integrated S7 processor takes up significantly less space. This means that a larger battery can be installed. The smartwatch will also boast an altered design and come in a new color palette. In contradiction to earlier reports of anticipated novel features, i.e., a blood glucose monitor, the latest news claims that there won't be any new sensors included in the Apple Watch Series 7, instead, they'll come out in the 2022 Apple Watch model.
Inside sources report on the larger battery capacity of the upcoming Apple Watch. It is due to anticipated smaller S7 processor integrated into the smartwatch, which will save significant space inside the device. The report stated that Apple is moving forward with the more powerful battery option, while new sensors may become a part of the 2022 model.
Apple Watch Series 7 is supposed to use supply chain operator ASE's double-sided system-in-package (SiP), which makes the processor smaller. Apart from the larger battery, Series 7 will see a design change, including a narrow frame and a flat-edged case like the one for the iPhone 12. There may also be a green color option that may resemble that of AirPods Max.
A recent Bloomberg report suggested that Apple plans to integrate body temperature and blood-sugar sensors in the next Apple Watch models, but the latest report suggests that it may not happen for a while.
