Apple AirPods 3 Slated to Make an Appearance in October
New information on the Apple front: AirPods 3 are now officially in production and are already being shipped from suppliers to Apple. Initially, the production of the expected true wireless stereo (TWS) earphones has not been high, which may have led to their absence from Apple's California Streaming event on September 14, where the iPhone 13 range was revealed. Apple is also rumored to be launching the second-generation AirPods Pro together with the AirPods 3 at an October launch event.
Industry reports say that AirPods 3 TWS earphones are now in production, as well as that Apple is already receiving the ready units and that these may soon hit the market. The upcoming AirPods (third-generation) are supposed to come with a new chipset and provide seamless support for Apple Music Lossless Audio. A gain in battery life over second-generation AirPods is also anticipated by the eager fans and experts.
Apple has received a sufficient number of the AirPods 3, and may now launch the TWS earphones later this year. These may, in fact, be revealed during an October event along with the second-gen AirPods Pro. The new M1X chipset-powered Mac devices are also expected to be unveiled at that point.
A previous report implied that Apple may be revealing its AirPods 3 at the 'California Streaming' event earlier this week. Experts have repeatedly predicted that the coming TWS earphones will be priced either at the same level or higher than the AirPods 2. In both cases, Apple is expected to continue selling both earphones simultaneously, since the design of the AirPods 3 will probably be similar to the AirPods Pro — as predicted by a Bloomberg expert last month.
