10M smartphone units produced in Xiaomi’s Indonesia factory
The 10M threshold has been attained by Xiaomi Indonesia in its factory in the Batam, Riau islands location.
The firm has reached this number since it has formally complied with local regulations in 02/2017 when its first locally manufactured smartphone Redmi 4A came out on the market.
In a statement earlier this week, Xiaomi Indonesia director Steven Shi expressed his satisfaction with the positive trend in Indonesia customers’ response to company’s offerings.
Over 1,000 employees are working at the factory in Batam, in assembly, packaging, QC and daily operations.
Steven Shi also claimed that the company will continue to make new trends affordable to its customers, which should satisfy market demands of both individuals and professionals.
Production of 10 million smartphones is an impressive achievement that Xiaomi has a strong foothold in Indonesia, he stated.
40 Mi Stores have been launched throughout Indonesia by Xiami, including Mi.com, and also offers its products on a number of online marketplaces, such as Blibli, JD,ID, Akulaku, Shopee, and Lazada.
